NATIONAL FACILITY FOR BIOPHARMACEUTICALS (NFB) AND ENVISBE SOLUTIONS IN COLLABORATION WITH EPISKIN ACADEMY (FRANCE) ANNOUNCES IT'S

1ST NATIONAL CONGRESS ON ALTERNATIVES
TO ANIMAL TESTING

Mumbai, 14th December 2017

BACKGROUND OF THE CONFERENCE:

Product development has grown by leaps and bound over the past decade. New and novel ingredients are being introduced with higher frequency and multi-functional products with proven efficacy are becoming the order of the day. With use of more and more potent ingredients, the need for well-established safety assessment is becoming increasingly important in the drug discovery, environmental risk assessment and cosmetic sectors.

On the other hand, with complete ban on animal testing for cosmetics in India as well as other countries, and the growing concern about the extent of relevance of data generated in animal models to human beings, the need for understanding and adopting alternate methods for safety assessment has become the need of the hour.

This conference aims to provide the platform for sharing information and updates un the latest practices in safety assessment as well as regulatory guidelines that are emerging. Eminent speakers will share their knowledge and experience in this area and the paneI discussion towards, the end of the conference will provide opportunity for participants and speakers to interact and exchange knowledge.
